LO4 - Post-Production - Sound report (P6,M3)

 


In this image i used this website to convert my music from YouTube to an MP3 sound so i can put it on final cut pro. I used this website as it was free and easy to use. I chose a sound that i like and was most suitable for my ident and converted it to an MP3 file. I then saved the file to my desktop and imported it onto final cut pro to add to my ident. 


In this image, i downloaded the music to my iTunes and can drag the files from here to final cut pro to my ident when editing. An example of this is when i downloaded the BBC One news music to use for my ident. If some of my sounds were not on my iTunes it would be on my desktop and i can drag it from there onto final cut pro. 

In this image i have added my sounds onto final cut pro to my dent and have aligned it where the sounds need to go. This is to complete my ident and make it suitable and not have the sounds scattered everywhere. I would lower or increase the sound depending on how i wanted it. I would also move the sounds under the scene, in its appropriate place.

 One convention of a TV ident is to have the channels name displayed within the ident. The ident I have chosen which is BBC One showcases their channels name in each ident at the end with a circle formed at the end of each ident which they use to display their channel name as the circle contributes to the coloration of the letter 'O' in BBC One. By having the channels name displayed it allows the audience to go to the channel to watch the show they heard on the ident as they may have been intrigued to watch it. In the idents the use of voice overs is used in all of them, this allows the audience to listen to what shows are on next at specific dates and times through the voice over being played on top of all the action that is going on in the ident to inform the audience what is available to watch.  Ident 1:  What went well:  Ident ideas were good the overall idea of the ident  filming logo idea Improvements: Music voice over. align the letters of BBC one properly. mute the background sound effects  cut scenes as filming is shaky it makes the ident look bad.
