Legal, moral and ethical issues (P2/M2)

The legal issues that you may face is through work, by this I mean images for example you can get an image from google for your work and the issues that can be faced from this is not asking permission from the person who made the image for you to be able to put on your work. You can get sued or fined for using someone else's work without permission. You could possibly go to jail if they take you to court and you're not able to pay up they can take products from you.

The ethical issues are something morally right or wrong actions or sayings. Such as, being racist, body shaming, harassment. For example, body shaming if a model was to do a photoshoot for a brand as an advert and they are being body shamed on there it is morally wrong as everyone can now see the advert and also see the body shaming that is going on. This will give a bad representation of their brand and business allowing their target audience and others to stop buying products from them as they have this bad representation, and the target audience may not support their wrong doings.

The moral issues are similar to ethical issues. For example, in the show 'Hey Jessie' the character 'Zorie' who was a black child who was treated differently in terms of getting ready for the show. Everyone including her got a hair and makeup artist to get them ready before filming for the show. The hair artist Zorie got did not know how to deal with black people's hair and her mum had to come in every time to do it instead which is unfair for her and her mum. The audience that watched the show can see this on 'Zorie's' social media page where she mentioned it herself this makes the audience not like the producers of the show or it may cause them to not watch the show anymore.

Legal, ethical and moral issues:

  •  Copyright
  •  discrimination
  •  Privacy
  •  Harassment
  •  Body shaming

LO2 - History of your channel and its ident (P2)

I have chosen BBC One ident to rebrand. This TV ident, ' Coloured Capes' was published in 2009. This TV ident was first broadcasted in 2008. The ident is a part of the BBC One 'Circles' campaign from 2006-2016 and was one of the on-screen channel identities for BBC One. The initial idea for the BBC One 'Circles' campaign was to have a film sequence of, plants, animals, people that ended in a circle representing the one for the BBC One channel to correlate its ident to the name of the channel and the logo of the channel as well. 'Capes' was filmed in many West London locations. There were 81 cyclists doing the 4-way spiral wearing the bright colours rain capes. In the ident when forming the spiral, it was filmed from above to show the audience the representation of the circle as well as the cyclists wearing different coloured rain capes to create a rainbow effect.  This BBC One ident has a variety of past adverts before this current ident which I have se...
