Unit 15 Audio visual promos

For unit 15 I have been tasked by Freeview to remake an ident cycle for a channel of theirs. In unit 15 I will learn how Audio-visual promos are made and the use of them to stimulate their product to a specific target audience This unit will benefit me on my understanding on audio visual promos and the process of to. From this knowledge I can use it when producing my remake for the ident for Freeview.

Defining Audio visual promos:

Audio-visual promos are a significant tool which is used by media businesses in the lifecycle of a product to gain the attention from a target audience. Audio visual promos are launched before the release date of the new products, to advise and amuse the audience to upsurge their sales of the end product being released.

LO2 - History of your channel and its ident (P2)

 I have chosen BBC One ident to rebrand. This TV ident, ' Coloured Capes' was published in 2009. This TV ident was first broadcasted in 2008. The ident is a part of the BBC One 'Circles' campaign from 2006-2016 and was one of the on-screen channel identities for BBC One. The initial idea for the BBC One 'Circles' campaign was to have a film sequence of, plants, animals, people that ended in a circle representing the one for the BBC One channel to correlate its ident to the name of the channel and the logo of the channel as well. 'Capes' was filmed in many West London locations. There were 81 cyclists doing the 4-way spiral wearing the bright colours rain capes.
